We are inspired by the growing interest of diverse stakeholders in the recently launched Strategy to Promote Inclusive and Sustainable Businesses (ISB Strategy) to achieve the SDGs and on various sustainable finance innovations.

Last week, we were pleased to meet the representatives from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) (an international independent standards organization), its Director, South-Asia Regional Hub, Dr. Aditi Hadler, and Global Sustainability Standards Board Member, Chulendra Silva as well as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA) (the global professional management accounting body), its Global President, Sarah Ghosh, Regional Vice President (Asia-Pacific) Venkat Ramanan and Sri Lanka Country Manager, Sahara Ansary.

The discussions focused on capacity building of firms / businesses on impact reporting and integrating disclosure and data into business risk and strategy as well as on skills development for sustainable finance modeling to strengthen the finance and investment eco-system for inclusive and sustainable businesses.
