Delivering the Country Statement during the Session on ‘Accelerating the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda through Voluntary National Reviews’ at the 10th Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development, the Director General of the Sustainable Development Council, Chamindry Saparamadu highlighted that Sri Lanka’s Second Voluntary National Review led to a renewed ownership of the 2030 Agenda across all sectors and among different stakeholders with government ministries and agencies taking ownership for specific SDG Goals and Targets. She further mentioned that increased dialogue and engagement of different stakeholders in the SDG process has strengthened inter-agency coordination and collaboration, as well as sectoral convergence laying the foundation for the country to access alternative and innovative instruments to finance the SDGs.
