UN Convention Centre in Bangkok
The Sri Lankan delegation to the 10th Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development led by State Minister of Finance, Shehan Semasinghe held bilateral discussions with the Under Secretary General of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), Li Junhua yesterday afternoon. The discussion focused on the current plans for debt restructuring and economic reforms and the UN reiterated its commitment to support the economic recovery and reform efforts initiated. During the meeting, the inter- UN agency SDG Stimulus Plan was also discussed.
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Thailand and Permanent Representative to ESCAP, HE Chaminda Colonne, Director General of the Sustainable Development Council, Chamindry Saparamadu, and Deputy Permanent Representative to ESCAP, A.W.S Samanmali participated in the discussions.
