The Sustainable Development Council welcomes the visit of the new UNDP Resident Representative in Sri Lanka Azusa Kubota

The Sustainable Development Council welcomes the visit of the new UNDP Resident Representative in Sri Lanka Azusa Kubota to its office this morning.

UNDP has been supporting the Sustainable Development Council in a number of areas to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Sri Lanka including innovation-driven data analysis and capacity building related to integrating and mainstreaming SDG indicators into relevant line ministry plans and strategies, developing various knowledge products on SDGs and SDG Financing and private sector engagement on SDGs including the development of the Sri Lanka SDG Investor Map and SDG Budget Coding and Tagging Methodology.

The meeting explored several opportunities to further strengthen this partnership going forward.
