Advancing Sustainability and Inclusivity: Insights from Discussions with the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development

We were pleased to meet the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Hon. Sunil Handunnetti this morning to discuss innovative strategies to foster inclusive and sustainable business practices in Sri Lanka to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The discussion focused on the importance of sustainability and inclusivity certifications for businesses, as well as the evolving landscape of global reporting, which are essential for ensuring a greener and equitable future, boosting exports and advancing the position of Sri Lankan enterprises in the global marketplace. In this regard, the planned activities to bolster the capacities of businesses to access such certifications and for impact measurement and reporting were also discussed.
