2024 Executive Training Course for Policymakers on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development held from 07th to 10th May in Incheon, Korea

Speaking during the 2024 Executive Training Course for Policymakers on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development held from 07th to 10th May in Incheon, Korea, the Director ,Sustainable Development Council , Chaminda Udakumbura and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, P.K.S.Subodhini highlighted the current progress and challenges with regard to data availability in conducting Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) and Review of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in Sri Lanka.

The Executive Training Course for Policymakers was organized by the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD) bringing together nearly 70 representatives from governments, regional and international organizations, civil society and private sector to enhance knowledge, skills, mindsets, and overall capacities of member states in implementing sustainable development planning, policymaking, and policy shaping through an integrated approach. It provided opportunities to understand the inter linkages between SDGs and NDCs and equip the participants with practical yet transformative policymaking skills for the SDGs and climate action.
