Sri Lanka’s Voluntary National Review (VNR) on SDG Implementation

A focus group discussion was successfully conducted today with Sri Lanka’s Bilateral Development Partners on the enabling environment for SDG implementation in Sri Lanka focusing on the national planning processes, monitoring and review processes as well as on financing for SDGs and partnerships.

The discussion was attended by senior representatives of the High Commission of Canada, High Commission of Australia, Embassy of Japan, Embassy of China, Embassy of Netherlands, Embassy of Norway, Embassy of Switzerland, Embassy of France as well as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Japan Agency for International Cooperation (JAICA) and Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC).

The discussion was convened and conducted by the Sustainable Development Council together with the National Planning Department and the Development Partners Secretariat in Colombo
